Meningococcal B (MenB) vaccines are a major achievement in preventing meningitis caused by Neisseria meningitidis type B. However, their production has been hampered by structural complexity and challenges in developing recombinant vaccines. This study assesses the impact of MenB production challenges on global vaccination coverage. We analyze the scientific literature and empirical data related to MenB to identify factors that influence access to and uptake of MenB vaccines compared to other vaccines such as types A, C, Y, and W135.
