THE SITUATION OF COAL WORKERS’ PNEUMOCONIOSIS AMONG WORKERS AT THONG NHAT COAL COMPANY, QUANG NINH IN 2022

Abstract

We conducted this study to describe the current situation of coal workers’ pneumoconiosis among workers at Than Thong Nhat Company in 2022. This cross-sectional study was conducted on all 1752 workers in 17 workshops of Than Thong Nhat Company in 2022. The study results showed that the prevalence of occupational coal workers’ pneumoconiosis among the study subjects was 12.5%, with the highest rates found in the age group of 40-49 (52.97%) and those with seniority of 10-19 years (49.3%). Workers in the mining and tunneling positions had the highest prevalence rate at 79.45%. There is a statistically significant relationship between occupational age and working location with anthrax of the study subjects.
