Targets: Describe the treatment results for pneumonia in children under 2 years old infected with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) at the respiratory department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study design conducted on 150 children from 1 month to 2 years old with RSV-infected pneumonia at the respiratory department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Results: Children with bacterial co-infection have a higher risk of severe pneumonia, mainly co-infection with Pneumococcus and Haemophilus influenzae. The average treatment time is 9,5± 4,2 days. The most commonly chosen antibiotics are Cephalosporin and Aminoside. The rate of children recovering from the disease when discharged from the hospital is 96,0%; only 4,0% of children with severe disease are transferred to a higher level for further treatment. The respiratory department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital is a unit with good quality in treating pneumonia for children infected with RSV.
