National reference standard of Hib vaccine, MCQG.Hib.01Abstract
Vietnam still lacks the national standard Hib vaccine to determine the content of Polyribosyl Ribitol Phosphate, an indicator to assess the protective ability of vaccines against the diseases caused by Heamophilus influenza type b (Hib) bacteria. National Institute for Control of Vaccines and Biologicals has developed the specifications of the national standard Hib vaccine, produced a candidate batch, calibrated the candidate to the international standards to determine its value. The results show that the candidate meets the requirements, has been recognized as a national reference standard, namely MCQG.Hib.01, with a content of (5.00 - 5.74) mg PRP/vial.
