Abstract

The study determined the average number of potency units in a Tetanus national reference standard lot RT4-01 at the time of the study (2016-2017) by five independent experiments. The results determine that the potency of the standard sample RT4-01 was 545 IU/tube, which meets the standards of the World Health Organization for use in the tetanus efficacy test at the National Institute for Control of Vaccines and Biologicals (NICVB).
